What’s educational therapy?

Strength-Based Academic Coaching

With one-on-one sessions, your child will discover their academic superpowers to work smarter, not harder. This individualized coaching will help them understand themselves as a learner, insights that will support them through their academic challenges.

Executive Functioning Skills Training

How your child learns is just as important as what they learn. Your child will learn best practices on time management, organization, backward planning, and task prioritization: the foundation for how they approach all of their classes.

Writing Composition Development

Developing your child’s written voice is critical to their academic success. It’s a technical and creative skill requiring grammar conventions, spelling, idea formation, thesis development, and poetic license. When writing is intact, ideas can freely unfold.

Reading Fluency Advancement

Many smart students struggle with reading fluency. Beginning with a baseline assessment, I can decipher what’s likely slowing your child down… and then teach them ways to increase fluency, accuracy, and comprehension.

Healthy Tech Help

Tech is an amazing tool when used with boundaries and guidance. I can help your child set proper boundaries around their devices so they don’t get lost scrolling, surfing, or texting during their peak academic times.

Self-Advocacy Support

Greater independence is a top priority of my work. I want your child to feel confident advocating for themself, writing emails to teachers, scheduling appointments with professors, and asking for the help they need. This is a teachable skill, and one I love to champion.

“Working with Jennifer has ended school battles in our house. I can trust my child’s academic progress is well taken care of, which lets me be the parent rather than the homework police.”

-Sarah, Mom of 2

I don’t know what I’d do without Coach Bochsler. She helps me so much with everything. I can’t thank her enough.”

-7th Grade Student

“This is the first person my son is EXCITED to work with. No more homework battles for me!”

-Kira, 8th Grade Parent
